In 1980, SofTest Designs was founded in San Antonio, Texas to provide customized test programs and fixtures.
The corporate name was inspired by "Software for Testing."
US privately owned, SofTest Designs is not a spin-off firm, or a copycat. It is an original concept - combining Engineering Design, Software Development, Hardware Integration and Fabrication under one independent roof. Our first speciality was in-circuit test program sets for loaded printed circuit boards.
Customers employ us to develop customized test programs, hardware and systems at our facility while their own staff concentrate on new product designs and production enhancements. Test program development, debugging and verification are conducted at SofTest Designs while the customer's own capital equipment continues to test and ship product.
Over the years, we expanded our capabilities to include design, fabrication, delivery and support of completely integrated test systems for a wide variety of electronic, mechanical and electro-mechanical products.
We also design, fabricate, deliver and support customized automatic assembly and material handling devices employed in various stages of the production process. Since 1980, SofTest Designs has designed, fabricated and installed high-quality, customized production automation and test systems for manufacturing, repair and laboratory environments.
Our company has over 35 years experience quoting, developing, delivering and servicing integrated solutions fabricated by our technical staff in our own 12,500 square foot facility.
SofTest Designs has been honoured with various awards and testimonials for consistently exceeding customer expectations for quality, performance, value and delivery.
